Bluestocking Film Series acceptance

"Start The Invasion Without Me" is an Official Selection of the Bluestocking Film Series 2016 and will screen at the festival July 14-16 in South Portland, Maine.

Origins

"Start The Invasion Without Me" is a short film made for a challenge from Bluestocking Films -

Criteria:
- Road Trip theme
- shot on a smartphone
- no more than 7 minutes long
- passes the Bechdel-Wallace test*

*Bechdel-Wallace test: must have at least one scene, with at least two women, talking to each other, about something other than a man

I adore men but this was a fun challenge and in fact *was* a challenge and a Learning Experience.
A story popped into my head about a crashlanded alien invader and a killer on the run (Bluestocking didn't say the women had to be nice!).
I shot the piece on an iPhone in one day, thanks to this wonderful group of people:
